238: Why is Two Weeks Enough? | RecoverED

by | Dec 6, 2021 | Family, Stigma

Celebrating our birthday month, here’s how our two-week First Step program has helped women for 36 years! In this series we provide education on the disease of alcoholism, recovery, and TMH services. We hope these episodes serve as a valuable tool to help you better understand the alcoholic and our mission at The Magdalen House.

In this episode, Ainsley Chapman, Chief Program Officer addresses the question “How is 2 weeks long enough to achieve sobriety?” She talks about the curriculum taught at The Magdalen House, the importance of building a strong foundation, and how length of treatment doesn’t matter if no action is taken after you leave.

To receive more information on alcoholism and recovery, you can request a speaker at magdalenhouse.org/resources-and-education/education/for in-person and virtual presentations.

To learn more about Ainsley’s personal story of recovery check out her past episode of Recovered at https://anchor.fm/the-magdalen-house/…. This podcast is made possible by donors to The Magdalen House.
