This quarter’s Community Partner Spotlight highlights The Liver Institute Methodist Dallas. This amazing partnership has been cultivated with The Magdalen House under the guidance of Liver Institute Doctor Randy Hunter.
In our almost yearlong partnership with The Liver Institute, they have aided us in referring their patients who need The Magdalen House services. We have also worked together to create an environment where patients’ family members can learn about the disease of alcoholism and attend our family support program.
In July, our CEO Lisa Kroencke was invited to speak with The Liver Institute at a conference put on by the Texas Transplantation Society in San Antonio. By providing us this platform, The Liver Institute made it possible for us to spread awareness of alcoholism and the services we offer to even more people living in the state.
Kady Younkman, our Chief Community Officer who attended the event, gave this insight, “The Magdalen House was honored to join The Liver Institute Methodist Dallas in addressing the Texas Transplantation Society on novel approaches to alcoholism treatment. Our discussion focused on the powerful impact of partnerships with transplant recipients, nonprofit organizations, and the AA community. By collaborating on post-transplant mentorship and community support, we are creating a comprehensive network of care that offers hope and tangible solutions for those battling alcoholism.”
We sincerely thank The Liver Institute Methodist Dallas for their unwavering support and continued partnership. In working together, we are able to touch more lives with our mission and spread awareness about the disease of alcoholism.
