The Ripple Effect of Nonprofit Collaboration in Dallas

This month, we are proud to spotlight two of our partners, Metro Relief and The Dallas 24 Hour Club – and the power of working together to guide individuals through their recovery journey.

Metro Relief is a mobile street outreach organization serving the homeless population in the DFW Metroplex. They help transition people living on the streets to a safe environment, recovery treatment, and stable housing. Their services include providing meals, critical documents, in-depth case management, and transportation assistance.

Metro Relief identified a woman who had long been unhoused and who struggled with Substance Use Disorder (SUD). Metro Relief, The Magdalen House, and The Dallas 24 Hour Club mobilized to get this individual help.

The Magdalen House provided comprehensive 12-step recovery services at no cost to this individual, removing the barrier to the help they desperately needed. During the client’s time in First Step, sober living options were discussed, and the Dallas 24 Hour Club offered the perfect solution. Their three-phase, 12-step-based transitional living facility – just around the corner from The Magdalen House – provides structure, support, and accountability in a stepdown model.

Today, this woman is thriving as a resident at The Dallas 24 Hour Club, supported by all three organizations.

This is just one example of the need for collaboration and partnership in the SUD/Recovery community. By working together, this woman’s life has been profoundly changed. We are grateful for the trusted partnership with the Metro Relief and The Dallas 24 Hour Club.
