Please join us in celebrating Winter Rose, Community Coordinator. We are so excited to have her join the team!
1. What do you do at The Magdalen House, and what does a “typical” day look like for you?
As a Community Coordinator, I provide tools and support to our incredible volunteers! My job is mostly geared towards working with and scheduling chair-people, communicating with loved ones who are looking for support, and assisting in organizing our very cool events, like birthday night!
2. What is your favorite line in the Big Book and why?
“The great fact is just this, and nothing less: that we have had deep and effective spiritual experiences which have revolutionized our whole attitude toward life, toward our fellows and toward God’s universe.”

About Winter Rose
Having been in and out of the program for 5 years, Winter finally stood in her truth and surrendered at The Magdalen House. Since then, her life has changed dramatically: she’s been rocketed into the fourth dimension of existence. Through an incredible amount of grace, she made it back to The Magdalen House, arriving a broken woman desperate to find a different new way of living. After getting out of the house, she never left. Winter joined the Next Step program and kept returning as an around-the-house volunteer and a backup chair. Soon, she started carrying the message to other alcoholics and sponsoring women. Seeing the lights come back on in the eyes of the women coming in after her is the highlight of her life. She is so passionate to have been blessed with the gift of being a recovered alcoholic because it’s given her life meaning and purpose beyond her wildest dreams.
