Kim grew up in Wylie, Texas and lived a normal childhood life until around the age of 15 when alcoholism began to take over in a very progressive manner. Her disease also began to take over her family’s life at this time. As the disease progressed she sought out help. A friend mentioned The Magdalen House, which led her to find our community.
She attended our First Step program not one, but two times. After her second time in The Magdalen House First Step program, she began working a twelve step program thoroughly and honestly which profoundly changed her life. Kim then began volunteering consistently at any opportunity she had and carrying the message at the 24 Hour Club. Kim shares that she is here today only by the Grace of God and she is so grateful to be able to be of service to others.
