Chris Ferguson is a lifelong advocate and guide for individuals navigating significant life transitions, bringing decades of experience and passion to his role as a Member At Large for The Magdalen House Board of Directors. Chris has dedicated himself to empowering people facing significant changes—whether in coming out, recovery, education, personal growth, or end of life—by providing guidance, encouragement, and practical support and resources. His commitment extends beyond his professional life, as he has volunteered with non-profit organizations devoted to building communities and supporting individuals in transition. He is honored to advance the mission of The Magdalen House in helping its clients create new lives in recovery.

Chris earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Communication, Master’s in Public Administration, and Juris Doctor all at The George Washington University.  His education and experience at GW prepared him for a diverse career in government, telecommunications, internet start-ups, public health, and law.

In his spare time, Chris enjoys running, traveling with his husband John Schoggins, and playing with their dog Wilber.
