North Texas Giving Day is just around the corner, and we’re calling on you to help us reach our fundraising goal of $50,000! Contributing is a great way to support Maggie’s and this year there’s a few extra opportunities for you to help us spread the word and reach more women who need our help.
What is North Texas Giving Day?
Oh, only the nation’s largest community giving event – no big deal ????
Community Foundation of Texas hosts this annual 18-hour online giving event which introduces the community to the vast nonprofit sector in North Texas while also encouraging community members to give back to local nonprofit organizations. For nonprofits like Maggie’s, this event just as much about awareness as it is donations.
When does North Texas Giving Day take place this year?
The big day is September 23, 2021, but early giving starts on September 1!
What can I do to help?
1. Create a FUNdraising page benefitting The Magdalen House
- To create a FUNdraising page for The Magdalen House, go to northtexasgivingday.org/themagdalenhouse and click Fundraise.
- From there, edit your FUNdraiser Title, Goal, and Image as you wish. You can also add a short story sharing why you are fundraising for The Magdalen House!
- After you have created your FUNdraiser, hit publish and follow the prompt to create a Neon Raise account.
2. Share your FUNdraising page with your friends and family
Once created, spread the word about Maggie’s by sharing your fundraising page on social media.
Not a social media user? No problem! You can send the link to you FUNdraising page directly via text or email.
Don’t forget to thank any supporters who donate to your page!
3. Triple your impact!
Throughout North Texas Giving Day, generous donors from The Magdalen House will provide matches for all donations doubling your FUNdraiser’s impact. Click here to find out if your employer provides corporate matching funds for donations. With our match your donation is doubled, but with our match plus your employer’s match, your donation is TRIPLED!
You don’t have to be a donor to make a FUNdraising page! If you are unable to give financially at this time but still want to help out, go ahead and set up a page anyway! Be an ambassador and help us reach new donors in your network.
Why does North Texas Giving Day matter?
As you can probably see by now, North Texas Giving Day is not only a day for The Magdalen House to raise money, but to raise awareness about The Magdalen House’s mission and programming as well.
Did you know that there are over 251,000 alcoholic women in the Dallas-Fort Worth community?
Additionally, it is estimated 33,589 children in Dallas live with at least one alcoholic parent.
By the simple act of creating and sharing your FUNdraising page, you are restoring hope and dignity to the lives of the countless alcoholic women and their families we serve, while helping us reach the alcoholic women in desperate need of our programs and services.
