The Magdalen House Raises More Than $50,000 at Second Annual Game, Set, Match Event

DALLAS, TEXAS (June 16, 2022)- The Magdalen House a nonprofit organization helping women achieve sobriety and sustain recovery from alcoholism at no cost and based on 12-Step spiritual principles recently held its second annual Game, Set, Match tennis event at Lakewood Country Club. In celebration of The Magdalen House’s 35th Anniversary, this year’s Game, Set, Match event was all about the 80’s. Guests enjoyed a great day of tennis and live music from The Vinyl Countdown. More than $50,000 was raised which will cover the cost of life-saving recovery services for 27 women who enroll in the First Step program. Read More.

New Home for The Magdalen House Opening at 4513 Gaston Avenue in Dallas

DALLAS, TEXAS (April 16, 2021)- The Magdalen House, a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping alcoholic women achieve sobriety and sustain recovery since 1987, announces the opening of its new home at 4513 Gaston Avenue, where it will relocate services.

The Magdalen House community will say goodbye to their beloved home in Little Forest Hills – a gift to the organization in 1996 – where they spent 25 years serving alcoholic women at no cost. That property has been sold to a new owner. Read more.

KDC Continues to Partner with The Magdalen House to Help Alcoholic Women Seeking Recovery

Dallas, TX (October 6, 2020)  – The Magdalen House ended North Texas Giving Day with $71,706 – more than $20,000 over their fundraising goal, given by 350 donors, doubling the participation from 2019. Funds raised are enough to provide 47 alcoholic women with life-saving recovery services through the nonprofit’s Social Detox program. Thanks to a partnership with KDC, donations of $5,471 was raised from the company’s employees, partners, and customers. KDC is also leading the development of the new home for The Magdalen House. Dallas, TX (May 2, 2019) – The Magdalen House is honored to host former First Lady of the United States Mrs. Laura Bush at the 2019 Leave a Legacy Dinner, presented by Ben E. Keith Company Foundation. The dinner, held on October 3, 2019 at The Hall on Dragon in the Dallas Design District, will celebrate life, recovery, and freedom from alcoholism for both women and their families in North Texas.
