Please join us in celebrating Chloe Pierce, Development Coordinator at The Magdalen House! Chloe is dedicated to helping others and is excited to support alcoholic women at Maggie’s. We are so happy to have her!

1. What is your role at The Magdalen House, and what does a “typical” day look like for you?

Hello! My name is Chloe Pierce and I am the Development Coordinator for TMH and I started on January 16, 2023! I am still learning my way around the house, but I assist my team in planning events, stewardship, fundraising, and networking. I am very excited to learn more and pour into to this incredible mission.

2. What is your favorite line in the Big Book?

My favorite quote from the Big Book comes from Chapter 2 stating:

“There is a solution.” – Big Book of Alcoholics Anonymous Page 2

I believe that this is a great mindset for these women as Maggie’s is a stepping stone in finding a solution to this addiction.

3. What’s something you’ve witnessed at The Magdalen House that inspires or moves you?

As I have gotten to sit in a few First Step meetings here at Maggies, I have been able to see and hear the work this organization is pouring into these women. Being able to witness the vulnerability and honesty being discussed is something that I believe makes a direct impact on theses women’s journeys.

4. How has working at The Magdalen House impacted your life?

Having an immediate family member who struggles with alcohol abuse, Maggie’s has already impacted my life through perspective and knowledge. Being able to come to work every day and serve these women is something that I am very passionate about.

5. What are some of your hobbies, or things that you enjoy doing when you’re not working?

Outside of work, I enjoy being very active through tennis and daily exercise. I also enjoy baking with family members and listening to podcasts.

6. What’s something that we may not know about you?

Something you may not know about me is that I used to dance for the NBA Oklahoma City Thunder’s young dance team, called the Raindrops. I met so many amazing people, dancers, and professional basketball players. This experience was once in a lifetime, and I am very grateful for it.
