Kelly grew up in Escondido, California and lived there until she moved to Mabank, Texas in 2018 with her family. In early 2019, she found herself completely defeated by her alcoholism and entered treatment where she learned what her problem was and the solution to alcoholism as outlined in the Big Book. Immediately after her discharge from treatment, she was instructed to go to The Magdalen House to volunteer during her free time. There, Kelly found a safe space to reintegrate into the community and develop her passion for helping others. Kelly began her employment at Maggie’s in 2021 as a Volunteer Coordinator and has since moved into the role of Volunteer Program Manager. She is excited for this opportunity to use her experience as a former volunteer at Maggie’s and is honored to work for an organization that does so much for individuals with alcoholism and their families.

Kelly lives in Dallas with her cattle dog mix, Rikki Tikki Tavi. She is grateful for the meaningful relationships in her life and enjoys spending time with her family whenever she’s able. Kelly rediscovered her passion for the outdoors in sobriety and finds joy in a challenging hike, and hopes that one day she will be able to thru-hike the Appalachian Trail.
