The Magdalen House has helped me understand many things I never thought I’d understand. Hearing the inspirational stories of the women who have found hope and life and laughter through “Maggie’s House” has had a profound impact on how I view life. Their honesty, selflessness in helping other women through their recovery, to “the other side” is like a life map to follow; the path to happiness and gratefulness. In giving to The Magdalen House, I am helping the women who come to find hope, but I’m also helping myself. To understand, to grow, to be a better person. Everyone knows someone who is suffering from alcoholism. There needs to be a Magdalen House in every city in this country.
