The Magdalen House Anniversary
Every June we host a free event for our entire community to celebrate with us another year of providing free recovery services to individuals with alcoholism and their families.
Maggie’s Women’s Group Retreat
Each fall, Maggie’s Women’s Group hosts a retreat for women in recovery, providing an opportunity for a deeper understanding of the 12 Steps and for community building.

Award Recipient: David Elliott
Being a native Texan, David Elliott has a strong passion for providing guidance, support, and resources to many local addiction-based organizations. In 1993, David started his recovery business, Burning Tree, launched his own non-profit, the Burning Tree Foundation, and remains an active part of the recovery community. We are grateful for David’s continued guidance as we help launch our programs for men.
Honorary Chair: The David M. Crowley Foundation
The David M. Crowley Foundation is committed to continuing the legacy of David Crowley, who dedicated his life to serving others by giving his time and financial support. David Crowley and Sandra Hallmark established the David M. Crowley Foundation in 1990 to help address the social needs of the Dallas community. Recently named one of the few Designated Charities of the Foundation, The Magdalen House has received generous grants over the past several years, including seed funding which has allowed the agency to launch its Legacy of Hope Capital Campaign in 2017. Through its compassionate gifts, the Foundation has truly been instrumental in realizing the mission of providing individuals with freedom from alcoholism.
