Patrice has been nothing but a light here at Maggie’s. Her willingness and dedication to this community is nothing short of inspiring! From saving the day with an on the spot transportation, to spending any free time she has up here working women through the steps. We wouldn’t be who we are without strong and “Godfident” women like Patrice! Thank you so much for all you do. We love you!

Patrice Olootu + Maggie’s =❤️

Patrice started volunteering:

February 2019. Almost a whole year!

She has donated a total of:

277 hours! That’s a donation of $7,044. That’s 5 women she’s helped put through the house!!!

You can usually find her:

Sitting at the table in the meeting room, book open, walking another woman through the steps. ❤️

I’ve never seen her without:

Some sort of cheetah print on! Always looking so feisty!

One time she:

Moved an entire room of 300 people to tears with her experience, strength, and hope at The Magdalen House anniversary party.

My favorite thing about her is:

Her smile and her soothing voice and words.

Maggie’s wouldn’t be the same without her because:

She is a shining example of what God can do when you become willing and take action! Stories like Patrice’s are what keeps the magic at Maggie’s.

We are so very grateful for volunteers who donate their time to The Magdalen House. Did you know ONE volunteer hour saves us $29.95?! That means for every 40 hours an individual volunteers, the value created for our organization equals the amount donors give to pay for one woman’s two-week stay through the First Step Program. You are literally paying it forward.
