Happy Monday, friends! With everything that’s happening in regards to the novel coronavirus (be sure to read our post, Taking Precautionary Measures Related to COVID-19), we’re all in need of a little extra good news, right? Starting today, we’re going to focus on things currently happening at Maggie’s that are making us SMILE with the hashtag #MiraclesatMaggies.
The women in this photo (plus Rachele and Teresa who left the call early to tend to clients, and Ashleigh who was hopefully snuggling her pup at home) are wholeheartedly dedicated to the women we serve. While our day-to-day might be different for the time being, these women are committed to doing everything they can to make sure that The Magdalen House is here for the alcoholic woman who wants and needs our services.
We have so many miracle moments that we can’t wait to share with you in the coming days and weeks. If you have a Maggie’s miracle that you’d like to share, please use the hashtag #MiraclesatMaggies on Facebook or Instagram.
In the words of Brené Brown,
“This pandemic experience is a massive experiment in collective vulnerability. We can be our worst selves when we’re afraid, or our very best, bravest selves. In the context of fear and vulnerability, there is often very little in between because when we are uncertain and afraid our default is self-protection. We don’t have to be scary when we’re scared. Let’s choose awkward, brave, and kind. And let’s choose each other.”
