Meet our Volunteer of the Month, Kribie Derick!
“Kirbie is an incredible example of willingness and gratitude put into action! She’s open and eager to serve her fellow sisters.”
– Kelsey Amos, Next Step Lead Program Coordinator
Kirbie + The Magdalen House =
Has donated a total of:
70 hours in just two months! This is valued at over $1797 for our organization, meaning Kirbie has helped to put 1 woman through our First Step program program already! This also equates to providing personal care items for over 35 First Step clients.
You can usually find her:
Helping visitors and volunteers sign in during her weekly Community Assistant shift!
I’ve never seen her without:
A smile! Kirbie always makes newcomers feel at home.
My favorite thing about her is:
The lasting impact Kirbie has made on First Step clients. She was mentioned in several First Step completion surveys as “going above and beyond” and that is something we love to see!
The Magdalen House wouldn’t be the same without her because:
Our Community Assistant volunteers are the first people a visitor sees when they step foot inside The Magdalen House and are essential to our daily operations. Kirbie will often approach staff and ask how she can be helpful and has aided us in taking inventory of household items, stepped in as a Childcare volunteer, and volunteered last-minute as an Overnight Assistant. We are so grateful for Kirbie!
Here’s what Kirbie has to share about volunteering at Maggie’s!
How do you put “Gratitude in Action?”:
“Giving back everyday by living in love and kindness.”
