When you visit The Magdalen House – you quickly realize there is something special about it. It is the magic of unity, service and fellowship – the basis of sustainable recovery. And this magic leaves most asking the question – how can I get involved at The Magdalen House (“Maggie’s”)? Let me tell you about The Magnolia Women’s Group. This group is comprised of a group of women who stay connected to the house through volunteer & service opportunities. Women in all stages of recovery are encouraged and welcome to join!

The group hosts several events & meetings including the Annual Anniversary Party which was held this past Sunday (photo album coming soon); on Monday night’s we have the 6:30 Alumnae meeting – except when we host Birthday Night on the first Monday of every month at 7:00 pm; and then there is the well-attended Sunday speaker meeting at 11:00 am.  There are also events, fundraising & communication opportunities. All of these provide an opportunity to get connected and involved with other women in the recovery community.

Staying close to The House through the Magnolia Women’s Group gives me the fellowship I crave. I value that we are a group of women bound by a solution for recovery – not the problem. And even though we are a group of women who each have different stories and backgrounds –we walk shoulder to shoulder in our fellowship that is one of the cornerstones to recovery.
