READ THE BIG BOOK
The Fourth Edition of the Big Book of Alcoholics Anonymous is the same curriculum that is taught at The Magdalen House. You can view a PDF version of the book for free online, or you can purchase a hardback or softcover. We encourage that you read the first 164 pages, especially The Doctor’s Opinion, Chapter 8: To Wives, Chapter 9: The Family Afterward, and Chapter 10: To Employers.
JOIN US AT BIRTHDAY NIGHT
Family members, friends, and loved ones are welcome to attend Birthday Night, held on the first Monday of every month at 7:00pm (CDT) where alcoholic women in our recovery community pick up chips to celebrate milestones in their sobriety, surrounded by their peers. More information about how to attend Birthday Night can be obtained at our weekly Family Support Group meeting, or by reaching out to one of the volunteers listed above.

The Magdalen House Family Support Group gives families, loved ones, and friends tools to effectively support a loved one in the face of the confusion and chaos of alcoholism. Alcoholism is a disease that directly impacts at least 17 people around a single alcoholic – including loved ones, family members, friends, employers, coworkers, and the community.
If this is you, you are not alone. We are a group of volunteers who have struggled with our loved ones’ alcoholism and found hope and healing.
Open to All
This group is open to anyone who knows or loves an alcoholic, or an addict. Your loved one does not need to be a client of The Magdalen House, or in recovery.
The Magdalen House Family Support Group is not an Al-Anon group and is not associated with Al-Anon Family Groups, Inc.
