Please join us in celebrating Kate Richter, Development Director of The Magdalen House team! Kate R. is fiercely passionate about the mission of The Magdalen House and its commitment to help alcoholic women and their families experience the freedom and hope found in recovery.

1. What led you to want to work at The Magdalen House?

The mission of The Magdalen House is simple, but the impact is profound. The Magdalen House reframes the disease of alcoholism, restores dignity, reunifies families, and rekindles hope. While I am not an alcoholic myself, my life has been touched by the disease, and I am grateful to serve this community and help alcoholic women and their families experience the freedom and hope found in recovery.

2. What makes you most excited about being a part of Maggie’s?

I consider it a true honor to be a part of this incredible team and to help raise funds to serve the women seeking help, and awareness to help shatter the stigma surrounding the disease of alcoholism. I am most excited for all that’s to come as the Maggie’s community continues to grow.

3. What’s something we should know about you?

I am an avid reader, a board game aficionado, a museum guru, and a travel junkie. I also love to try new foods and experiment in the kitchen, so feel free to send me your favorite recipes!
