Carly Sorenson began her work in nonprofits when she became a Recovery Advocate at Nexus Recovery Center shortly after completing The Magdalen House First Step program.
Carly arrived at The Magdalen House in August of 2019, scared and hopeless. During her stay, she learned that there were other women like her, and for the first time, became educated on why she drank differently than others. Through the 12 Steps and spiritual principles, Carly was able to begin a life of sobriety. She stayed close to Maggie’s fellowship by volunteering and attending meetings at The Magdalen House.
Through her recovery and job at Nexus, she found her passion for serving women in recovery. She is honored to be a part of The Magdalen House team, working alongside other women who are passionate about the mission.
