Hi there,

I’m Chloe, and I have the joy of witnessing your contributions in action through programs at The Magdalen House. Your year-end gift, no matter who you are or how much you can give, can help more alcoholic women get their lives back. 100% of the year-end proceeds will go towards building our new home on Gaston Ave.

Give a Gift

If you’re contemplating giving a gift, I want to share something with you.

When a woman comes through The Magdalen House, what she receives is so much bigger than a bed, food, hygiene products, clothes, and space to detox. She receives love when she has felt unlovable for so long. She receives forgiveness for things she believes are unforgivable. She is shown a way out of the alcoholic torture she has been living in. She is given a place to return to help other women escaping from the same darkness.

Alcoholism is something that knows no limits. I have seen women from all backgrounds, races, religious (or non-religious) leanings, ages, and socio-economic classes come through Maggie’s. It leaves a wake of heartbreak and destruction, which touches anyone near the alcoholic. My own drinking caused pain and misunderstanding for all of the people near me, and I am so grateful that I was able to receive help early on. Your donation to the Capital Campaign can give thousands of women the opportunity to recover from alcoholism – to rejoin their families and their communities and restore what was lost through drinking.

The benefits of recovery reach far beyond the woman who is helped.  For every alcoholic woman, drunk or sober, she significantly affects 17 people’s lives  her children, the people who love her, her place of work, etc. Just imagine the impact that makes.

We want to help as many alcoholic women as possible and know that in so doing, a widening circle of lives is helped as well. I think that is a pretty worthy cause to get behind.

Give a Gift

Best wishes for 2020,
Chloe Cramer
Director of Programming
